Experience International Smart School operates school campuses in Aba, Abia State, Nigeria. For the personal information covered by this policy, the school acts as a data controller.

Depending on your interaction with us, we may collect names, contact details, home address, a learner's date of birth, previous-school information, class or programme applied for, admission information, payment records, messages, staff information, photographs and other information voluntarily submitted through our forms or school offices.

Information may be collected through admission and enquiry forms, the parent and school-fees portals, email, WhatsApp, telephone calls, campus visits, staff forms, school events and ordinary website technology such as security logs and necessary cookies.

We use personal information to process admissions, communicate with families, manage learner and staff records, administer fees, provide education and school services, protect learners and our community, meet legal and regulatory obligations, improve our website and respond to enquiries.
5. Our lawful basis
We process information where it is necessary for school services or a contract, to meet a legal obligation, to protect vital interests, for legitimate school administration and security purposes, or where valid consent has been provided. We apply additional care to children's information.

Admission and learner information is normally supplied by a parent, guardian or authorised adult. We collect only information reasonably required for education, safeguarding, communication and school administration. Parents and guardians should not submit information about another child without authority.
7. Photographs and media

We may share information only when reasonably necessary with authorised school personnel, service providers supporting our website, email, payments or school systems, examination or education authorities, professional advisers, regulators, or law-enforcement bodies where legally required. We use reasonable organisational and technical safeguards, restricted accounts, access controls, backups and secure email delivery; however, no internet system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion where appropriate, restriction or objection to certain processing, withdrawal of consent for future processing, or a copy of information you provided. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
