Child Photograph & Media Consent Notice

How we manage photographs, videos, audio and creative work involving our learners.

Effective date: 30 August 2026

1. Purpose

Photographs, videos, audio recordings and examples of learners' work help us celebrate achievement, document school life, communicate with families and promote the school. The safety, dignity and privacy of every child remain our priority.

2. Where media may be used

With appropriate permission, media may appear on the school website, official social-media pages, newsletters, prospectuses, admission materials, event displays, yearbooks, press coverage and other school-approved publications.

3. Parent or guardian choices

Parents or guardians should receive a consent choice explaining the intended uses. Consent for public promotional use should be voluntary, specific and recorded. Refusing publicity consent will not affect a child's admission, education or participation in ordinary school activities.

4. Safe publication practices

We aim to use suitable images and avoid unnecessary personal details. A child's full name should not ordinarily be published beside an identifiable image unless there is a clear school purpose and appropriate permission. We do not intentionally publish sensitive learner records with publicity material.

5. School events

Parents and visitors may take personal photographs at some events, subject to school instructions and safeguarding requirements. Images of other children should not be posted publicly without the permission of their parents or guardians. Recording may be restricted at sensitive events.

6. Withdrawal of consent

A parent or guardian may withdraw consent for future optional publicity by contacting the school. We will stop new use within a reasonable period and remove school-controlled online material where reasonably practicable. Withdrawal may not reverse printed distribution or copies already lawfully shared by others.

7. Requests and concerns

To change a media-consent choice or report an image concern, contact admin@experienceschool.org and identify the learner, image and location. The school may verify the requester's relationship to the learner before acting.

Important: This page explains our approach but does not replace the school's signed parent/guardian consent form. Consent records should be maintained securely by the school.
