Story Behind the Experience School Project
Hi, my name is Ammon Arave. For much of my adult life, I’ve been a teacher in one form or another—from my first job as middle school history to college communication classes, or working with aspiring entrepreneurs. Teaching has always been a huge part of who I am, but as I spent more time in education, I began to see a gap.
Once people leave high school or college, in-person learning opportunities practically disappear. You either have to go back to school, sign up for a rare community class, or settle for online courses that often lack engagement and practical application. I realized that there was very little out there for people who want hands-on, real-world learning in short, manageable increments.
Experience School is a project I've been working on to fill this gap. It’s a place where learning more closely matches the fast paces information era, but unlike the typical online tutorial or course, the classes will be in-person. Practical, fun, and affordable—a way to connect with others while gaining new skills you can actually use in everyday life. Whether it’s trying your hand at a new craft, diving into technology, or exploring a new passion, Experience School strives to fill a learning gap, offering real-world learning experiences that are accessible to a broader range of people.
Mission & Values
Experience School aims to offers concise, experience-based learning opportunities designed to help people connect, grow, and learn practical skills through hands-on, in-person classes. The hope is to build a community where learning is fun, affordable, and accessible.
